Wow, as I reflect on the incredible journey of my semester abroad in Seoul, it's hard to believe it's coming to an end. This chapter of my life has been an unimaginable experience, a whirlwind of cultural immersion, new friendships, and unforgettable adventures. Traveling thousands of miles across South Korea was undoubtedly worth every moment, leaving me with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the highlights of my time in Seoul was attending my very first K-pop concert, featuring StrayKids. The energy, the music, and the connection among fans created an electric atmosphere that I will never forget. Additionally, I was fortunate to receive invitations to events at the United States Embassy in Seoul, providing me with unique insights into diplomatic and cultural affairs.

Participating in a language exchange program allowed me to connect with Korean students, fostering meaningful friendships and sharing cultural experiences. Watching the South Korean national soccer team play at the Seoul World Cup Stadium was another exciting experience, especially watching them win. Studying at charming cafes, indulging in delicious local cuisine, and exploring historical sites deepened my appreciation for Korean culture and history.

Enrolling in a Korean language course at Yonsei University was a pivotal part of my journey. Being in Seoul allowed me to practice with native speakers, significantly enhancing my language skills. Trying on a traditional Korean Hanbok and strolling through the iconic Gyeongbokgung Palace provided a tangible connection to the rich cultural heritage of the country.

Beyond Seoul, I explored other cities like Busan and Sokcho, each offering its own unique charm. In Busan, I went to Haeundae Beach and experienced the thrill of riding the popular Busan rail cars. Venturing into nature, I embarked on a memorable hike at Seoraksan National Park, reveling in breathtaking views from Ulsanbawi Rock.

This semester in Seoul has been transformative, not just academically, but personally. Engaging in enriching experiences and immersing myself in Korean culture has expanded my horizons. Witnessing firsthand the differences and similarities between Korean and American culture has been eye-opening and fascinating. The depth of understanding I've gained about Korea's history and traditions is immeasurable.

Living in Seoul has fueled my passion for learning Korean, and the constant exposure to the language has propelled me towards proficiency. The immersive experience offered by studying abroad is unparalleled, and without it, I wouldn't have fully grasped the intricacies of Korean culture.

As my time in Seoul concludes, I am grateful for this opportunity and encourage anyone given the chance to study abroad. It's more than an academic endeavor; it's a journey of self-discovery, cultural appreciation, and lifelong memories. Time truly flies when you're having fun, and my semester in Seoul has been an adventure that will resonate with me forever.
