After having been in Madrid for a few months now, I was finally able to go to a Real Madrid game.
It was Real Madrid vs. Chelsea, and I was able to get amazing seats right behind the goal. The teams entered the field and the Real Madrid fans began chanting, celebrating Real Madrid. The energy in the stadium was incredible and the fans were celebrating and chanting throughout the whole game. In the stadium, there is no food or beverages sold, so most people bring in bocadillos/sandwiches to eat.
During halftime, they all started eating their bocadillos which was cool to see since we never do that in the United States. The match was incredible, and Real Madrid scored two goals and beat Chelsea.
After the game, everyone left the stadium to go to the streets and started celebrating. Eventually, I took the metro back where the fans were still chanting and celebrating Real Madrid’s win over Chelsea. If you ever get a chance to go to a real Madrid game, I would highly recommend it as it was an amazing experience.
