About Nanyang Technological University

Founded in 1955, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is a research-intensive university with globally acknowledged strengths in science and engineering. Today, NTU has four colleges with 12 schools, including a strong business school and college of humanities, arts, and social sciences. NTU provides a high-quality global education to more than 23,000 undergraduates, including 8,000 international students.

Learning at NTU

NTU is comprised of four colleges:  Engineering, Business, Science, and Arts, Humanities, and Social Science. Exchange students can take courses across colleges and departments, subject to availability and completion of pre-requisite courses. Students enroll in four or five courses per semester.

Life at NTU

NTU's International Student Center (ISC)is the main hub for exchange students. The ISC provides orientation, events, host family weekends, and activities for exchange and international students throughout the semester. In addition, students can join student organizations and sports clubs to meet local students and get involved in campus life.

Accommodations

Upon acceptance to NTU, exchange students may apply for accommodation in one of 16 halls of residence. All halls are double occupancy and convenient to campus academic buildings. Exchange students live together with international and local students, giving students the full NTU campus experience.

How to Apply for a GW Exchange Program

Students can begin a GW Exchange program application at anytime by searching for their program of choice on GW Passport. Students must meet with their study abroad advisor prior to the GW Exchange program deadline for their applications to be considered.  Please refer to our Advising Services page to find the appropriate study abroad advisor for your school.
