Welcome back to GW, study abroad returnees! After a semester away from campus and the United States, you may be feeling a bit out of place amongst your peers. Reverse culture shock can be a bit tricky to navigate, as customs and routines you were used to prior to your time abroad may now feel slightly different or wrong. This is a normal experience shared by many study abroad returnees who may not know how to navigate through it.
The OSA is hosting a Welcome Back event to help you stay connected to your time abroad and to learn a few strategies on how to combat reverse culture shock while you reconnect with the GW community. Join us as we host a panel of study abroad alumni and experts who can share insight into their own experiences and provide tips on how they readjusted back to life at GW. Learn how to work through your own feelings of reverse culture shock or join us to simply chat about your time abroad. We want to hear it all!
We will also be providing a pizza lunch and will be voting on our photo contest winners during this event so don't miss out! RSVP with the link below so we can ensure we have enough food for everyone!
