Being Black Abroad
As students think about or prepare to study abroad, it is important to be aware that there may be a discrepancy between how you perceive aspects of your racial, ethnic, or national identity and how individuals in your host community may perceive them. When considering studying abroad, it is important to consider your identity surrounding your race and ethnicity and how that may impact or change your experiences while abroad.
The Office for Study Abroad is hosting this panel event on "Being Black Abroad" - a deep dive into the Black experience abroad from a student, staff, and other professional perspectives. Join the OSA to learn more about the Black experience, the process, and the opportunities for going abroad.
