Once I was accepted into the Global Bachelor’s Program, I was sure to pay close attention to all the scholarship opportunities the Office of Study Abroad sent out via email and, luckily, found this application for the Inclusive Ireland Scholarship. The application process for this scholarship was relatively simple and allowed for an optional portion: giving students the ability to submit a video speaking to their passions and aspirations. Though this video submission was optional, I wanted there to be a personal touch to my application-- which, I feel, set me apart.

My advice for students - do as much as you can to set yourself apart and speak directly to the organization, even if it will take a little bit more time. It is only because I received this scholarship that I am able to study abroad without the worry of finances. Ultimately, this scholarship will allow me to enjoy my study abroad experience more. I am looking forward to attending the gorgeous campus at Queen's University in Belfast and learning about a culture different from my own. While in the Global Bachelor’s Program, I know this is just the first of many enriching experiences of my undergraduate career!
