Each semester GW students receive scholarships from a variety of sources to supplement their aid packages. During the fall 2012 semester alone, GW students received over $250,000 in scholarships outside of their regular financial aid packages. The Office for Study Abroad offers scholarships and many of GW's affiliated program providers offer merit- and need-based scholarships as well. Financial assistance is also available through outside sources, such as government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private foundations. To increase the likelihood of success in their search, students are encouraged to explore possible funding sources as early as possible.
