Our Campus

GW has two vibrant campuses located less than three miles apart in northwest Washington, D.C.  This proximity gives exchange students the best of both worlds through a unique urban environment and a smaller, more traditional college setting.

GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus sits on about 18 square blocks in the heart of D.C., just blocks from the White House, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, World Bank, and countless other national and international organizations.  The university is integrated in every way with life in the nation's capital and enjoys a front row seat on the city - and the world. 

The Mount Vernon Campus, in the Foxhall neighborhood of Northwest D.C., provides a more traditional college campus  while still offering students easy access to all  the  capital city offers.  Lush with green space, this campus is home to the university’s outdoor pool and various athletic fields.
