GW Exchanges in Asia

The NCCU International Summer Program provides students the opportunity to advance their Chinese language skills and learn about Taiwan’s position in Asia and in the world. At NCCU, students may enroll in two courses, one to develop their Chinese language skills and the other to study modern Taiwan.


GW students are able to enroll in a number of courses at NCCU.  They are able to take a Chinese language course and a number of other interdisciplinary courses. 

The NCCU Summer Program provides a series of enrichment activities, including hands-on and cultural appreciation workshops on Chinese calligraphy, Chinese knotting, paper-cutting, and traditional handicrafts.

Students participating in the program through the GW Exchange Tuition Waiver are responsible for the following costs:

  • Accommodation Fee: $800
  • Textbook: $35
  • Other Living Expenses (Meals, Local Transportation, Etc.): $1,200
  • Airfare


July 6 to August 13, 2015.  Dates for summer 2016 are to be determined.

How to Apply for a GW Exchange Program

Students can begin a GW Exchange program application at anytime by searching for their program of choice on GW Passport. Students must meet with their study abroad advisor prior to the GW Exchange program deadline for their applications to be considered.  Please refer to our Advising Services page to find the appropriate study abroad advisor for your school.
