English For Academic Purposes Requirement

Students who meet the university’s minimum English-language proficiency requirements but do not exceed the standard scores will be required to enroll in the English for Academic Purposes course. Students are notified in their admission letter if they are expected to complete this requirement.

How to Apply

Exchange students must come from an exchange partner institution and be nominated by their home institution in order to access the online application through the Office for Study Abroad.

Once students have been entered into the online application system, they will be expected to submit the following to the Office for Study Abroad by the application deadline:

GW Inbound Exchange Blogging Scholarship

The Inbound Exchange Blogging & Digital Story Scholarship provides one (1) $1,000 scholarship and one (1) $1,200 scholarship for admitted incoming exchange students each semester who are interested in writing blogs and/or creating a short movie about their experiences while living and studying at GW.  To learn more and apply for this scholarship, visit the GW Inbound Exchange Blogging & Digital Storytelling Scholarship page.
