GW student Eric Beeler was one of the few awardees selected from thousands of applicants to receive the $10,000 scholarship from the Fund for Education Abroad During the fall 2016 semester, Eric will be studying abroad on the Intensive Chinese Language and Culture in Beijing program through the Associated Colleges of China, taking courses directly at Minzu University. In the spring 2017 semester, Eric plans to study in London.  Check out what Eric has to say about being a Fund for Education Abroad Scholarship recipient:

"When I received the FEA acceptance email... I honestly couldn't believe it! Going abroad can be an expensive endeavor, but thanks to the FEA scholarship... I won't have to consistently worry about finances, rather I can focus on immersing myself in the local community. One of the requirements for the scholarship is that we blog every couple weeks - so I encourage my family and friends to follow my journey in Beijing and London in the upcoming year. Thank you so much to the FEA donors, Professor Dong for writing my recommendation, and...Liz Betts from the GW Office for Study Abroad for introducing me to the scholarship."
