GW Exchange Program

GW Exchanges

The GW undergraduate exchange program fosters academic immersion via direct enrollment in our university from one of our forty higher education exchange partners around the world. The exchange model provides an enriching cultural experience within the United States, and in particular, in Washington, D.C.

International undergraduate exchange students work closely with the Office for Study Abroad at GW to enroll as a full-time student during the semester or academic year for which they are nominated. The Office for Study Abroad provides support and assistance for students throughout their entire exchange experience.

Letter from GW President Thomas LeBlanc

To the George Washington community:

This week, the Supreme Court upheld the Trump Administration’s travel ban. In March, the university joined 30 other universities in filing an amicus brief challenging the executive order on travel and immigration, affirming the importance of international students, faculty and staff at institutions of higher learning.
