At The George Washington University, a study abroad semester is comparably priced to an on-campus semester, including full-time tuition and a study abroad program fee. Participants are billed GW charges for their study abroad program, not the fees indicated in program literature or websites.
Most financial aid applies to a student’s costs while abroad. Students can also apply for other financial support to help fund their experience. Last semester alone, students received over $250,000 in GW and outside scholarship funding.
The Office for Study Abroad is committed to assuring that the study abroad experience is as affordable as possible and within reach to all students. Our advisors can help students find a variety of funding opportunities, and there are a number of resources in this section that will provide more information on costs, budgeting, scholarships and financial aid.
