Eligibility & Application Requirements



To be eligible to apply to study on a GW Undergraduate Exchange program students must

  • Have completed a total of 45 credit hours before participating in the program
  • Be in good judicial and academic standing and not have a significant record of judicial or academic infractions at GW
  • Have a minimum cumulative GW GPA of 3.0

The availability of any particular exchange may vary according to the status of the institutional agreement. Admission is selective, and space is limited.

Application Requirements

Students can begin a GW Exchange program application at any time by searching for their program of choice on GW Passport

Students must meet with their study abroad advisor prior to the GW Exchange program deadline for their applications to be considered.  Please refer to our Advising Services page to find the appropriate study abroad advisor for your school.

Participants are nominated by the GW Office for Study Abroad for the exchanges on the basis of application, academic transcripts, judicial status, and preparation for study abroad through an exchange program. Final admission decisions rest with the individual partner institution.
